I’m a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with experience of working in the NHS and charity sector as well as private practice. I gained an MSc In Psychodynamics from the University of London in 2006 followed by a further 4-year, rigorous postgraduate clinical training at WPF Therapy – one of the UK’s leading psychotherapy training centres. I am a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and am bound by their code of ethics.
I am trained to offer open-ended, long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as time-limited, short-term counselling. I draw upon psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches. I offer a secure and confidential environment in which to explore your difficulties and establish a treatment plan that will be specific to your needs.
I have experience in treating a range of psychological and emotional disorders including anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, anger issues, low self-esteem, loss and bereavement and relationship problems. In my NHS practice I specialised in working with adult survivors of child sexual abuse.
Individual sessions last for 50 minutes each week and cost £65. In some circumstances I am able to offer a reduced rate of £45 per session if you are on a low income and able to come between 11am and 4pm. Initial consultations typically last longer (between 60-90 mins) and I charge on a pro-rata basis. We may have more than one consultation session to give us a chance to get to know each other and for you to decide if you want to make the commitment to start therapy with me.
If you would like to set up an initial consultation, please email me below or call on 07488 362373.
