I’m a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with experience of working in the NHS and charity sector as well as private practice.
I am trained to offer open-ended, long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as time-limited, short-term counselling. I draw upon psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches. I offer a secure and confidential environment in which to explore your difficulties and establish a treatment plan that will be specific to your needs.
I have experience in treating a range of psychological and emotional disorders including:
anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, anger issues, low self-esteem, loss and bereavement and relationship problems. In my NHS practice I specialised in working with adult survivors of child sexual abuse.
I am a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and am bound by their code of ethics.
Individual sessions last for 50 minutes each week and cost £65.
Initial consultations typically last longer (between 60-90 mins) and I charge on a pro-rata basis. We may have more than one consultation session to give us a chance to get to know each other and for you to decide if you want to make the commitment to start therapy with me.
Currently I have availability on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Now that the Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic has moved into a different phase in the UK, I am still however providing some sessions online via Zoom. Please ask me about this.
If you would like to set up an initial consultation, please email me below or call on 07488 362373.
**Please note I currently have no low cost places available.
